Hobby & Professional Accounts

Quave ONE has two account tiers. Hobby accounts are what every new user starts with: they work immediately, no approval needed, and are perfect for trying the platform, testing, and hobby projects. Professional accounts unlock all production regions and are enabled after a quick, free upgrade review.

Users vs Accounts

In Quave ONE, users and accounts are separate concepts:

  • User: Your personal login credentials and profile. You already have a user since you signed up.
  • Account: A higher-level concept to organize your applications, databases, billing, and team members. One user can belong to multiple accounts.

To deploy applications, you need to create at least one account. You can create more accounts later and invite team members to collaborate.

Tiers follow trust: once you are upgraded to Professional, your accounts are upgraded with you, and any new account you create starts as Professional automatically.

What Hobby Accounts Can Do

With a Hobby account you can start using Quave ONE right away:

  • Deploy applications to the Hobby region
  • Test and experiment with your code and configurations
  • Create supported Databases & Services that are provisioned automatically
  • Experience the full platform — dashboards, MCP, agents — before upgrading

Hobby Account Limits

  • Hobby region only: You can deploy to the Hobby region. Other regions require a Professional account.
  • Not for production workloads: The Hobby region is designed for testing, evaluation, and hobby usage only.
  • Auto-stop on container failures: If your containers repeatedly fail to start, your environment will be automatically stopped. Professional accounts don't have this limitation.

Important: Do not deploy production workloads or important applications on a Hobby account. The Hobby region is provided for evaluation and hobby usage and is not intended for production workloads.

How to Upgrade

Upgrading is free. We review every request — it keeps the platform safe from abuse — and it's typically completed within 1 business day:

  1. Go to the Upgrade page in your Quave ONE dashboard
  2. Fill out the form with your information
  3. Submit and wait for our team to review your request

Information We Request

We ask for the following information:

  1. Your personal LinkedIn profile link
  2. Your company or personal website
  3. A short description of your business and how you plan to use Quave ONE
  4. How you found out about us

Business Description

When describing your business, please include:

  • The nature of your business
  • The type of applications you intend to deploy
  • Any specific resource requirements (if known)
  • Any special needs or security concerns you may have

This information helps us understand your needs better and allows us to provide the most suitable support and infrastructure for your projects.

Account Limits

Once you're upgraded to Professional, we'll establish resource limits for your accounts based on your needs. These limits ensure we can provide the necessary resources while maintaining service quality for all users.

If you anticipate needing limit increases, we recommend requesting changes at least 2 working days in advance. However, we'll always do our best to accommodate urgent requests.
